You're getting paid for the work you did last year
Cause & Effect Timeframes inspired by Sam Ovens.

Summary
Welcome to the Home Service Marketer newsletter.
These are my own independent thoughts, and I am writing about topics that interest me. I hope you enjoy this journey of learning alongside me.
In today’s newsletter, we are going to cover:
Cause & Effect Timeframes
Compounding Effort
Why your results come from last years work.
Inspired by Sam Ovens.
It is approximately a 4-minute read.
Memory & Effect
We have the best memory of the actions we take today. The further away from those actions we move, the more we discount the possibility that actions from the past could be the reason for today's results.
We get a very small result from today’s action, but results take time to come to fruition. The 10 sales calls you took last year, where you failed miserably, are directly related to the reason you are able to sell so well today. As you get more reps in, the mistakes from the past become clearer and are fixed, which is what creates today’s results.

Patience & Instant Gratification
Most people are looking for the activity they can do today that will generate the big result they’re seeking, but if we are all honest with ourselves, we know that’s not how it happens.
If you’re expecting it to work that way, you’re in for hard times ahead.
There isn’t a single person more successful than you who says you need to be short-term oriented and only focus on today and next week. Every single person who has achieved high levels of business and financial success will tell you the same thing.
Have patience & operate with a long-term mindset.
Don’t worry, it's not all your fault. This is how society has trained us to act. We want instant gratification, and feedback loops close extremely fast.
Social media apps know this and they play into it. If the kids of today posted on Instagram and had to wait a month for feedback, they would not do it.
Dedicate yourself to your craft for one full year.
