It is approximately a 4-minute read.

Actionable Tip

Want to know how to get better SEO rankings?: Get more reviews.

Why are they so important?: Google needs to optimize for user experience. If they don’t, nobody will use Google or advertise with them. They need to ensure that when someone searches for a “roofing company near me,” the businesses they show are actually open and servicing the area.

How can they know that?: Simple. If you get 2 reviews every week for a year and your competition has not gotten any reviews. Logically, who is more likely to service the area actively? Google will want to show them first.

Do the following:

  1. Get customers

  2. Do a good job

  3. Send review link

Understanding Social Proof:

The more social proof you have, the more money you will make. It’s simple: If your customers share your work on Facebook and talk about how great you are, you will probably have an influx of leads. This shouldn't be a surprise. If you want to make this happen you can incentivize them to do so.

When you shop on Amazon, are you more likely to buy the umbrella with 500 reviews or the one with 20? We like certainty.

When a cold audience discovers you on Google and you have 500 reviews and your competitors have 20, who will they choose? Your customers like certainty.

The more reviews you have the more comfortable people are purchasing from you.
