What you need to know: Not all backlinks are created equal. If someone offers you 1,000 backlinks, you should run the other way.
Why backlinks aren’t created equal: If a website doesn’t generate any traffic and has a variety of articles that don’t make sense and are linking to many different websites in one article. These are what we call link farms.
How to stay safe: I recommend working with a reputable provider with client testimonials to ensure safety. Do not get lazy.

You do not need to ram 1,000 backlinks to your home page in one month to be competitive. This is actually the wrong approach and will do more harm than good.
If you have a website with almost zero backlinks and you plan to push dozens to it in one month and not continue that pace it is going to appear very odd to Google and raise red flags.
In the scenario of backlinks moving slower actually allows you to move faster.
