16x SEO Campaign Explained

Keyword research is the foundation of an SEO campaign. If you do not nail this down correctly, your results will be lackluster.

Simply knowing the target keywords and search volume is not enough. If you want to move the needle fast, you also need to understand who else is competing for these keywords and what their SEO profile looks like.

When you have this information, you can then build out a roadmap first targeting the keywords/locations that will move the needle the quickest.

Content Building

After identifying the search terms and locations we wanted to target, we then moved into the content creation side, ensuring that our content, at minimum, matches the top-ranked sites for word count.

When publishing these pages, we need to ensure they are internally linked to from various locations throughout the site to ensure they get indexed by Google.

Our preference is to create a top-level location page linked to the main navigation and footer. On this page, we have location cards for each service area. When clicking into “Fort Lauderdale,” for example, you will build your service pages specific to that location and link them through there.

This has been a time tested way of ensuring our pages index at accelerated rates.

The holy grail. Now that we have our site structure formatted properly and our pages indexed we can quickly start climbing the ranks as we build authority to our target page.

Our target page is the content we created based on keyword research and competition difficulty. The next step is simple. Build credibility and authority.

Write non-branded articles relevant to the service and location you are targeting. This will allow you to be more aggressive with your anchor text. For example “HVAC Company [location].”

When the anchor text aligns with the article content, you can use more aggressive anchor text without risking harming your domain.

That is really it. It can be that simple. Good quality content with the correct internal linking structure and high DA backlinks from relevant articles.

Repeat this process for 12 months straight and watch yourself win.
