How to Dominate Local Service Ads in 2026 (Part 2)
The 4 steps that separate businesses getting 10 leads from businesses getting 50+ leads.

The Secret Google Doesn't Tell You
Yesterday, I showed you how to set up your LSA foundation.
Profile optimization. Budget. Targeting.
But here's what most businesses don't know:
Google tracks one metric above everything else.
And if you're slow on this metric, they punish you by showing your ads less.
If you're fast? They reward you with more leads at a lower cost.
Today, I'm showing you the 4 steps that actually make you money with Local Service Ads.
Let's get into it.
Step 4: Speed to Lead
This is the most important step in this entire playbook.
Google tracks how fast you respond to every single lead.
If you're slow, they show your ads less. If you're fast, they show your ads more.
It's that simple.
Here's what you need to do:
Respond to new leads in 60 seconds or less
Keep your ads running 7 days a week (including weekends)
Set up an auto-text reply for after hours: "Thanks for reaching out! We'll call you first thing tomorrow."
Speed is everything.
Step 5: Get More Reviews Every Single Month
Reviews are your currency with Local Service Ads.
More reviews = more trust = higher rankings = more leads.
But most businesses beg for reviews and get nothing.
Here's what actually works:
Send your LSA review link after every single job
Aim for 5-10 new reviews every month
Reply to every review (even the bad ones)
If you stop getting reviews, Google assumes you're not active anymore. Your rankings drop. Your leads dry up.
Don't let this happen.
Step 6: Track Everything Weekly
You can't improve what you don't measure.
Most businesses set up LSA and never look at the numbers. Then they wonder why it's not working.
Here's what to check every week:
How many leads did you get?
What did each lead cost you?
How fast are you responding?
Then every month:
Adjust your ZIP codes based on what's working
Turn off services that aren't profitable
Scale your budget up or down
And every 3 months:
Update your photos
Refresh your bio
Make sure licenses are current
This isn't a "set it and forget it" thing. You need to stay on top of it.
Step 7: Stay Consistent
Here's what makes you rank higher in Local Service Ads:
Fast response times
Consistent new reviews every month
All licenses and background checks up to date
The businesses that do this month after month crush everyone else.
It's not complicated. It's just consistent.

Love to wake up to a $1150 post renovation booking come straight off the website, 0 touch points..
At this point we get 3-4 cleans from our website per week just from self-booking customers. These are in addition to non-LSA leads where people just find us on Google and call with
