What you need to do: Identify the needle-moving activities of your business. What drives business forward and increases profitability?
Why you need to do it: If you aren’t tracking, you are firing blind. You will never truly understand which levers are working and which are not.
How to do it:
Create a Google Sheet
Create line items for revenue, profit, marketing spend, leads generated, deals closed
Set monthly targets
Manually input information every Sunday

You can’t measure what you don’t track
If your business does not have data tracking set up, you cannot know what is working and what isn’t. I’ve learned this from mentors and the highest-level operators we work with at Stryker.
They know their numbers.
If I ask you what your revenue is, leads generated, deals closed, and close rate, you should be able to answer these in an instant. If you cannot, you have work to do and your business is likely suffering because of this.
The operators that know their numbers run laps around those that don’t.
