Ask This Before You Hire an Agency
If they can’t answer these two questions clearly, don’t sign anything.

Before you hire any marketing agency, ask them two questions.
Who owns my Google Business Profile the day I leave?
Who owns my website the day I leave?
The answer to both should be simple:
You do.
If they start explaining some complicated transfer process, licensing agreement, ownership clause, or why they technically control the asset, that should be a massive red flag.
You should never feel trapped with an agency because they own the website your business depends on or control the Google Business Profile where you spent years collecting reviews.
I’ve seen home service companies realize way too late that leaving their agency means rebuilding their entire website, losing access to important accounts, or fighting just to regain control of their own marketing assets.
That is insane.
A good agency should make money because you want to stay with them, not because leaving would be painful.
You paid for the website.
You built the reputation.
You earned the reviews.
The assets should belong to your business.
So before you sign anything, ask those two questions.
If the answer takes more than one sentence...
LOOK ELSEWHERE.
And if you want a marketing agency that builds assets you actually own, book a free strategy call with us.
We’ll look at your current setup, show you what you should have access to, and point out anything that could become a problem if you ever decide to leave.
